I’m going to trust that focusing on the internal vibration of feeling good instead of any external things, people or situations will bring what’s truly best for me.
I’m going to trust that even if I think that many things seem to be going wrong, that maybe for the first time I’m actually feeling what it feels like for things to go “right”.
I’m going to trust that the ideas I...

The Waking Life
"Life is not a dream. Beware. And beware. And be ware. And so many think because Then happened, Now isn't. But didn't I mention the ongoing "wow" is happening right now? We are all co-authors of this dancing exuberance where even our inabilities are having a roast. We are the authors of ourselves, co-authoring a gigantic Dostoevsky novel, starring clowns. This entire thing we're involved with called the world, is an opportunity to exhibit how exciting alienation can be. Life is a matter of a miracle that is collected over time by moments, flabbergasted to be in each other's presence. The world is an exam to see if we can rise into direct experience. Our eyesight is here as a test to see if we can see beyond it. Matter is here as a test for our curiosity. Doubt is here as an exam for our vitality. Thomas Mann wrote that he would rather participate in life than write 100 stories. Giacometti was once run down by a car, and he recalled falling into a lucid faint, a sudden exhilaration, as he realized that at last something was happening to him. An assumption develops that you cannot understand life and live life simultaneously. I do not agree entirely. Which is to say I do not exactly disagree. I would say that life understood is life lived. But the paradoxes bug me, and I can learn to love and make love to the paradoxes that bug me. And on really romantic evenings of self, I go salsa dancing with my confusion. Before you drift off, don't forget. Which is to say, remember. Because remembering is so much more a psychotic activity than forgetting. Lorca, in that same poem said that the iguana will bite those who do not dream. And as one realizes that one is a dream figure in another person's dream, that is self awareness." - Timothy "Speed" Levitch

on my mind a bit since everyone’s been talking about it. And I get it, it’s almost Christmas time and all of those “best of 09” and “best of the decade” lists are coming out and you’re most likely looking at yourself and saying “Hey, this is not ideal. There are some things I wish were different,” and I get that — truly — but you...

"Live In Your Power" by Paul Hoffman
The activity of your mind is a powerful thing. It can bring light to your day, joy to your soul, create relationships that are nurturing and awaken you to the passionate purpose in your heart. It can open you up to Live In Your Power each day guiding you on your journey as you seek those things that bring you the success you desire. It can also bring chaos to your day if what you put into it is...

Men are reluctant to accept what is easy to grasp.
crashinglybeautiful:
“Men are reluctant to accept what is easy to grasp. Out of a perversity deeper than all Satan’s wiles, man refuses to acknowledge his own God-given rights: he demands deliverance or salvation by and though an intermediary; he seeks guides, counselors, leaders, systems, rituals. He looks for solutions which are in his own breast. He puts learning above wisdom, power above...

The Things to do are: the things that need doing, that you see need to be done, and that no one else seems to see need to be done. Then you will conceive your own way of doing that which needs to be done — that no one else has told you to do or how to do it. This will bring out the real you that often gets buried inside a character that has acquired a...
